Bao Wei graduated from the Law Department of Shanghai University in July 1991, and started his law practice at Shanghai No. 1 Law Firm in the same year. In April 1994, he co-established Shanghai Fu Xuan Jie & Associates with several other founding partners. Bao Wei has been a partner with AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai since 2000.
Bao Wei's practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, and he has extensive experience in general commercial disputes, shareholders and joint venture disputes, international trade disputes, real estate and construction disputes, banking and insolvency litigation, and contentious regulatory disputes such as custom and tax disputes. Many of the litigations and arbitrations in which he has served as counsel have been large and complex disputes involving multinational corporations and financial institutions operating in China. An increasing part of his practice also relates to representing clients in enforcing intellectual property rights in China.
With solid legal theory, combined with nearly 16 years of practice, Bao Wei is able to provide efficient and reliable legal strategies and practical solutions to clients facing varying circumstances. In the early stages of disputes, Bao Wei often offers the most effective approach to minimize the potential risk of litigation. In disputes where litigation is inevitable, his experience allows him to formulate solid strategic planning based on the positions of his clients, tailored for the different demands of each case. He is adept at focusing on points to turn clients’ relatively disadvantageous positions into more favorable positions in order to tactfully guide the dispute to an amicable resolution. |
