Ms. Fanny Yi graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with an LL.B. degree and received the postgraduate training in civil & commercial law at Law School of Tsinghua University.
Fanny Yi joined Allbright Law Offices at the end of 2001. Prior to Joining Allbright, Ms. Yi was once the general counsel of a famous PRC listing company, and thereafter, being a founding partner, co-founded Xiamen Utrust Law Firm in June, 2006.
Fanny Yi’s major practice areas include banking, project financing, infrastructure, M&A, etc. In the foresaid areas and ever-changing legal environments, Ms. Yi accumulated considerable experience in providing legal service for large transactions and developed creative problem-solving skills. She has provided legal services for a broad range of industrial sectors, including banks, mineral resources, power plants, highways, natural gas, and water supply. Her clients include large scale State-owned enterprise, private investment groups and multinational companies.
In the field of banking, Ms. Yi has advised numerous banks on lending, compliance management, and disposal of non-performance loan. In the field of project financing, she advised natural gas enterprises and power plants on financing and syndicated loans for their expanded projects. In the field of infrastructure, she has advised on dozens of national key projects and Shanghai municipal key projects, among which, the project West-East Natural Gas Transmission was nominated by prominent magazine Asia Legal Business (ALB) for awards of “Infrastructure Construction” and “Energy and Resources” of “2004 Deals of the Year”, and the project China Pavilion and Installation of Solar Photovoltaic Systems for Theme Pavilions of 2010 World Expo was recommended by Shanghai Bar Association as the candidate project for the Expo Service Star Award.
Ms. Yi was honored the title “Shanghai Outstanding Female Lawyer” in 2008, was nominated into China Financing and Security Lawyers published by China Law Press, and was acclaimed by Clients as “Most Reliable Professional Partner” .
Ms. Yi published many books and treatises, including the book Legal Environment and Practice of M&A (2006, China Law Press, Co-author), the treatises Experience and Learning Gained from Two M&A Transactions (2006 China M&A Annual Report, China Law Press), How to Provide Legal Services for National Key Project as A Lawyer and Evolution and Analysis of Policies on Red-Chip Listing (China Financing and Security Lawyers, 2009, China Law Press). |
