Haifeng Sun, attorney-at-law, is a senior partner at AllBright Law Offices, ShangHai. Mr. Sun has been a professional lawyer for over twenty years, since he passed Chinese Bar Examination in Nov. 1985. As an experienced lawyer, Mr. Sun is good at applying complicated and abstract legal theories to practice. Before going to New Zealand as a visiting scholar in 2001, he had been in several famous law offices for more than ten years – Chinese legal affairs center, Zhong Lun Law Firm in Beijing, Jin Cheng Tong Da Law Firm in Beijing etc. After back to China in 2003, Mr. Sun decided to join AllBright Law Offices.

 

Mr. Sun’s practicing areas encompass non-litigation, litigation and arbitration on cases of real estates, finance, M&A, intellectual property rights and so on.

 

Practices: Being legal counsel and issuing memorandum on law for a famous Coffee Corporation located in Hainan; issuing memorandum on law for a Zhengzhou High and New Technology Industrial Zone on real estate project financing and overseas listing; doing due diligence and issuing memorandum on law for Lehman Brothers Holding (HK) Ltd in taking over stake and real estate project from a Shanghai Industrial Properties Limited.

 

Now Mr. Sun mainly engages in building up the professional legal service platform for Chinese enterprises in overseas investment and international M&A, and the influx of experts on law and over-bound investment, to provide excellent legal services for applying the national strategy of ‘ go aboard’.

 

Mr. Sun published <Guidance on Legal Practice for Overseas Investment and International M&A> as the main co-author together with Dr. Ma Xiaoye, the Chinese famous foreign economic and trade experts, one of the first batch of Chinese observers in GATTs(the predecessor of WTO),ex commercial counselor of Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver, Canada, research fellow of Chinese Social Development Research Center of Peking University, president of World Observation & Research Institute in Shanghai.

 

Mr. Sun specializes in legal practicing of real estate, especially in-depth research on realty exploitation, market development and other relevant legal issues; operation of corporate affairs, particularly affairs of large enterprises, financial institution. Mr. Sun is quite skilled in handling the relative affairs mentioned above and satisfied the clients with his excellent legal service in many major projects. Mr. Sun also has broad experience in the areas of litigation、arbitration and the enforcement of judgment, the clients of him include large-scale state-owned enterprise, non-public enterprise, enterprise invested by MNC in China.
