The Plan envisions that during the 2026–2030 period, the power sector will take the lead in the energy transition, with a cleaner, more efficient and flexible power system capable of better balancing supply and demand.
The Plan sets forth key development indicators across eight dimensions, with the specific goal of raising the share of non-fossil energy in total electricity generation to 50% by 2030. To meet these targets, the Plan outlines a range of tasks, including renewable energy development and integration, new power grid development, the expansion of charging infrastructure, the deployment of new energy storage and virtual power plants, and digital and smart transformation across the power sector. It also encourages investment from diverse sources, including private capital, in the development of clean energy bases and power infrastructure, and private investment, to participate in the development of clean energy bases and power infrastructure.
Overall, the Plan supports large-scale renewable energy integration and the power sector’s green transition, while expanding investment and market opportunities in power, energy storage, and digital technologies.
