Judith Yang is a senior partner at AllBright Law Offices (Shanghai office).

Her practice focused mainly on real estate, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution.

In the field of real estate, Judith has provided a full range of legal services for various types of urban complexes and real estate development for several large-scale real estate developers in first-tier cities, including residential, commercial, office, entertainment, education, medical and other projects. She is an expert on introducing world famous investors and the handling of complex matters like design of the legal structure, project financing, business negotiations, dispute resolution etc.

In the field of capital markets, Judith has led many private equity fund establishment projects and investment projects worth up to tens of billions of yuan, designed funds investing and recovery mechanisms, and has also provided legal services for the financing projects of a number of large-scale enterprises such as syndicated loans, corporate bonds, trusts and limited partnerships. In addition, Judith also led the first REITs pilot project in Shanghai and served as a legal adviser to the Pudong New Area People's Government of Shanghai to provide guidance for the relevant departments to formulate policies.

In the field of mergers and acquisitions, Judith has successfully handled several material asset reorganizations of listed companies with the transaction consideration nearly tens of billions of yuan. She serves as the general legal counsel of many fortune 500 companies and practiced on A across a variety of industries. She has also solved difficult legal issues for a number of multinational corporations regarding matters such as cross-border A deals, designing investment legal structures, handling contract negotiations, foreign exchange, and tax issues. Her professionalism and business negotiation ability has won the customer's high praise.

In the field of dispute resolution, Judith is able to provide clients with efficient and reliable legal strategy analysis and solutions to help them face a variety of complex problems. She has led a number of cases with major difficulties involving equity, land development, properties transfer, contract litigation and arbitration cases, and restored the economic losses valued hundreds of millions of yuan for the clients.

Judith has more than 30 years of legal experience. She used to serve as a judge at the Shanghai Higher People’s Court and the general legal counsel of an economic development zone. Judith started practicing law in 1998. Before joining AllBright Law Offices in 2010, she was a partner at another Shanghai law firm.

Judith has an LL.B. from the East China University of Political Science and Law and an LL.M. from the University of Warwick, UK.

Judith is qualified to practice in China and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
