Jordan Yang is a Senior Partner at AllBright Law Offices, serving as the Chair of Supervisory Board of the Beijing Office and also as the Head of the London Office. He primarily works in both the Beijing and London offices and has over 20 years of legal practice experience. His primary practice areas include cross-border investments, banking and finance, private equity, and commercial dispute resolution. He specializes in providing comprehensive and integrated legal services in the aviation, infrastructure, biopharmaceuticals, and emerging technology industries.

Jordan graduated from Northwestern University School of Law with a Master of Laws degree and simultaneously obtained a certificate in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His working languages are Chinese and English.

For many years, Jordan has focused on providing legal services in the field of corporate and related investment and financing legal services, his expertise encompasses cross-border M&A (equity and debt), private equity (in RMB or USD), debt-to-equity swaps, syndicated loans, and project financing, domestic and foreign securities issuance, etc. He has led his team in handling many investment and financing transactions in sectors such as new energy (wind, solar, hydro), mining, infrastructure (domestic and foreign new city development, sewage treatment, port construction), aviation and biotechnology. In those practices, Jordan has played a significant role in numerous milestone cases in assisting leading clients in various industries, particularly in investment and financing projects in Asia and Africa under the Belt and Road Initiative involving central enterprises and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). To date, Jordan has successfully overseen over 400 high-profile cases and projects, involving both domestic and international clients and cross-border entities, with a cumulative value of several billion USD.

Jordan has an extensive track record of serving prominent state-owned enterprises and investment institutions, such as China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), CEEC, CNNC, Power China, SPIC, COMAC, AVIC, CDH Investments, Long Hill Capital, GSR Ventures, JAFCO Asia, ABC Financial Asset Investment, Shijingshan Innovation Industry Fund, Greenland Group, Poly Group, and others. Jordan has also serviced financial institutions such as The Export-Import Bank of China, Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Korea Development Bank, China International Capital Corporation, China Cinda Asset Management, China Orient Asset Management, and ICBC Leasing. Jordan's recent clientele includes renowned listed companies such as Air China, XCMG, CATL, SAIC Motor, Midea Group, Noblelift Intelligent Equipment, China Ruifeng New Energy Holdings, Tibet 5100 Water Resources Holdings, and Elion Resources Group. Additionally, he has served foreign-invested enterprises, including the German Thyssen family and Tucher family real estate funds, Maersk, Carlsberg Asia, Siemens Gamesa, and Metso.

In the field of aviation finance, Jordan is highly experienced in the purchase, leasing, and other financing transactions of various types of aircraft and aviation engines. Jordan has served as a special or long-term legal advisor for companies such as Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance (RRPF), the Royal Aeronautical Society, American Airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), AVIC International Leasing, Air China Leasing, and CMB Financial Leasing.

Regarding dispute resolution, Jordan and the members of his team are well-versed in home and abroad arbitration and commercial litigation. They have frequently represented clients in first-instance, second-instance, and retrial cases before the Supreme People's Court and various high courts, achieving successful outcomes or overturning decisions. Jordan has also been entrusted by clients to act as counsel in numerous arbitration proceedings before institutions such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), securing favorable awards. He has handled several commercial litigation and arbitration cases with claims amounting to hundreds of millions of RMB.

Jordan has been invited on numerous occasions as a distinguished speaker at overseas sessions of China Arbitration Week, such as the London Forum, supported by UNCITRAL, the Ministry of Justice, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and CIETAC. Jordan also serves as a distinguished expert or lecturer at several top law schools in China and has published dozens of academic articles in leading journals and platforms, including Wolters Kluwer, LexisNexis, and in the annual reports of various arbitration institutions.
