YU, Haolong

Mr. Yu Haolong specializes in trade remedies, export controls and customs law.

He started his career as a case handler in the Ministry after China joined the WTO, focusing mainly on anti-dumping and trade remedy investigations. As one of the earliest key professionals and pioneer practitioners in the investigations, he was responsible for drafting the implementation rules, questionnaires and internal manuals, as well as staff training. He was active in international and transnational fields, participating in WTO and bilateral mechanism negotiations, and conducting on-site verifications in the US, EU, Japan and India, regarding different manufacturing industries. He also worked as a diplomat in the economic and commercial offices of Chinese embassies in African and European countries, handling overseas policy and business. Mr. Yu has both a macro-level perspective and operational expertise.

His main clients include national champions in the manufacturing sector, and he has experience with anti-dumping, countervailing, UFLPA, customs audits, EU foreign subsidies regulation (FSR) investigations and Chinese export controls. He successfully resolved the UFLPA for large, comprehensive equipment and represent client achieving zero-margin rates in anti-dumping cases.
