Anne Yang
is a partner at AllBright Law Offices in Chengdu.
Her practice areas include corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and infrastructure investment, and international trade.
Ms. Yang has focused much of her professional practice on the legal aspects of foreign investment. She mainly works as legal counsel for a number of industry associations and chambers of commerce, Taiwanese-funded enterprises, Japanese-funded enterprises and private enterprises. She assists these clients in handling disputes over foreign investment in equity, foreign financing and other projects. She participated in the Dujiangyan disaster area reconstruction assistance project sponsored by the China National Taiwan Businessmen Association in 2008 and provided free services for the reconstruction effort throughout the whole process.
Prior to joining AllBright in 2012, Ms. Yang worked at another law firm and served as deputy director.
Ms. Yang served as an associate editor for the bookStrive to Win A Lawsuit in 2003, which was published by Law Press China. She served as editor-in-chief ofComparison of Legal Practice on both sides of the Taiwan Straits in 2006, which was published by Xinhua Publishing House. The book was also published in Taiwan and became very popular among Taiwanese investors seeking a guide to investing in mainland China. She served as editor-in-chief ofA Preliminary Study of Legal Services for Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce in 2009, which was published by Sichuan University Press and has been positively received by heads of many industry associations and chambers of commerce.
Ms. Yang became a member of the Committee on Economic Law of the All China Lawyers Association in 2006 and was elected deputy director of the committee in 2011. She became a member of the Women Lawyers Working Committee of the Sichuan Bar Association in 2011 and became a member of the Chengdu Arbitration Commission in 2011.
Ms. Yang was awarded the title “March 8 Red Flag Bearer” by theSichuan Provincial Women's Federation in March 2011, named “Advanced Individual in Earthquake Relief” by the Sichuan Bar Association in 2008, won the “Outstanding Paper Award” by Economic Committee of the All China Lawyers’ Association in 2007 and won the “Cross-Strait Relations Outstanding Paper Award” by the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits in 2005.
Ms. Yang graduated from the Southwest University of Political Science Law in 1992 and from Sichuan University after completing her postgraduate studies in global economics in 2003.
Ms. Yang is a practicing lawyer in China. Her working languages are Mandarin and English.
