Chen Yan

Ms. Chen Yan specializes in private equity funds, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial dispute resolution. Since she began practicing law at a law firm in 2002, she has accumulated over twenty years of experience. She has provided legal advisory services to numerous multinational corporations and large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises. She is well-versed in the commercial needs of enterprises and offers legal services for business contracts negotiation, investment projects, due diligence, and other matters. She has extensive practical experience in the design of solutions, drafting of legal documents, and compliance review.

In the field of private equity fund establishment and investment legal services, Ms. Chen has provided comprehensive legal services to many important funds and management companies with management scales of tens of billions or even hundreds of billions, such as SINO-IC Capital, China Development Bank Capital, National Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrade Fund, National Green Development Fund, National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund, China Merchant Bank International, China-Africa Development Fund, SDIC Juli Fund, China Agricultural Reclamation Industry Development Fund, Guotai Junan FOF, GP Capital, Guohe Capital, Guosheng Capital, Fortera Capital, SSCI Leading FOF, as well as Bank of Communications Capital, China Merchant Bank International Capital and Ciit Asset Management. Ms. Chen Yan graduated from China University of Political Science and Law and the Graduate School of Foreign Affairs College, obtaining a Master's degree in Law. She has also studied at the University of Manchester in the UK and Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France. In 2005, she was selected by the Organization Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee to visit the World Trade Organization, the European Union, and the World Intellectual Property Organization, and received a certificate for scarce talents in Shanghai. In 2010, she was selected by the Shanghai Bar Association and the Hong Kong Basic Law Association to undergo professional training and work at Haldanes Solicitors and Notaries in Hong Kong.

Ms. Chen Yan is also an arbitrator at the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), an independent director of a listed company, and a legal consulting expert for the Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
