AllBright Lawyer Speaks at Sino-Australia Forum in Qingdao

From June 20 to 21, 2014, the Jinjialin Wealth Forum was grandly held in Qingdao, attracting distinguished speakers including Shandong Province governor Guo Shuqing, National People’s Congress Economic Committee deputy director Wu Xiaoling, People’s Bank of China deputy governor Pan Gongsheng, China Insurance Regulatory Commission deputy chairman Chen Wenhui and Nobel Laureate in Economics Michael Spence.


As part of the event, the forum on was held on the morning of June 21, entitled Take-off of the Australia-China Resources Investment and Trading Platform. Forum speakers included Qingdao deputy mayor Liu Mingjun, former Australia Minister for Trade and Investment Craig Emerson and AllBright partner Luan Piqiang. 

 


AllBright Qingdao office lawyer Liu Dexing delivered a speech on China’s outbound investment policy, related risk control and capital protection. Liu briefed participants on China’s review of outbound investment projects and the country’s foreign exchange policy and elaborated on transaction structure plans during outbound investment, risk control and capital protection.


The Australia-China Resources Investment and Trading Platform, established in 2012, was initiated by Qingdao mayor Zhang Xin and former Australia Prime Minister Bob Hawke. The platform aims to strengthen Australia-China cooperation on mining resources and to provide legal, capital, security and technology support to Chinese companies seeking investment opportunities in the mining sector in Australia.
