AllBright Lawyers Participate in the Shanghai International Forum on Women’s Development

On September 25, 2014, the Shanghai International Forum on Women’s Development, one of the most influential forum on women’s development in the city, was held at the Le Royal Meridien Shanghai. AllBright partners Theresa QiuJennifer Wang, and Mellena Zou were among a group of elite women that participated in the forum.


Shanghai Vice-Mayor Zhao Wen, who is also director of the Shanghai Working Committee on Children and Women, greeted guests on behalf of the municipal government.


The 2014 Shanghai Women's Development Forum was held under the theme of "social governance and women of wisdom." Nearly 50 foreign experts and scholars from the United States, the UK, France and other countries and more than 300 domestic scholars, artists, entrepreneurs, and international organization and NGO leaders gathered to share their experiences and achievements in order to explore innovative social governance and building a harmonious society.


Participants also held lively discussions on the following three topics -- Economic Growth and Women’s Roles, NGOs and Women’s Power, Urban Culture and Women’s Innovation.


The Shanghai International Forum on Women's Development began in 1998 and is held biennially.
