From February 25 to 27, 2014, AllBright Beijing office partner Jordan Yang participated in the Commercial Transaction Legal Risks Control annual forum in London on behalf of AllBright. He delivered a speech entitled Due Diligence Investigations in China – Legally Obtain, Share and Transform Information, and had discussions with peers from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Norway, and the United States, among others.
The forum was held in the Temple area of central London. The area is one of the main legal areas of the capital city and a notable center for English law, both historically and in the present day. It contains many barristers' chambers, solicitors' offices, as well as notable legal institutions.
Forum participants included corporate compliance heads and chief counsels of multinational companies such as Philip Morris International, France’s DCNS, UK’s Kingfisher, and Damco.
The forum discussed various legal risks during commercial transactions and participants had an in-depth discussion on practices such as anti-corruption, outsourcing, intellectual property, and the protection of personal information among multinational companies.
